Why I don’t recommend using Google Photos
Google Photos is probably the most used cloud storage for phone photos and very popular. While it has its place, I never recommend using it as a photo hub. One of the main reason being that it is risky to store your precious photos in a cloud service without having a local copy on your computer. There are ways around it but that is not how most people use Google Photos.
In this Q&A I am sharing other reasons why I find that there are better options.

As mentioned, Google Photos absolutely has its place and you might be surprise to hear that I am using it, too. However, I use it for sole sharing purposes and I keep my digital photos on my computer.
