How to Organise Photos to Share Stories

October 28, 2021

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by the wonderful Cait Wotherspoon for Conversations with Cait.

Cait is a Grief Counselling and Bereavement Counsellor based in Sydney. In her grief counselling work, Cait has helped many people with their bereavement so that they could rediscover joy and happiness again.

Many years ago, Cait and her husband had to go through all of her mother’s photos after she moved in with them after having been diagnosed with dementia. Having gone through that experience, she had promised herself she wouldn’t leave her photos in such a state, however, fast forward to just recently and Cait had over 30,000 photos and videos on her computer and phone and is feeling the overwhelm like so many others do, too.

The both of us met thanks to a writing day hosted by the brilliant Holly from Blue51 and it just ‘clicked’!

In this interview, we chat about not only photo organising but about stories and what they mean to us – why they are so important to us and how we can pass them on. You can watch the full episode here.

I also highly recommend you check out Cait’s website and blog for helpful tips and resources for managing grief. Because – just like stories – they are part of everyone’s life.
